2015 Elementary Summer School

Program Description: Elementary, general education summer school will provide interventions and extended time for teaching and learning Language Arts and Math. To engage students in real world experiences that develop their language and math skills, students will be immersed in an Integrated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum. Attendance is by teacher recommendation based on specific criteria. Updates and additional information will continue to be posted to this site. 2015 Middle School Summer School
 Remediation Programs for Middle School Courses
Middle School students who have received a final grade of a “D” or an “F” may receive targeted instruction in Math and Reading/Language Arts through programs based at their home school. These programs are targeted to specific learning needs and are open to General Education students, English Language Learners, and Special Education students participating in inclusion classes. Program dates and times will vary and are set by the home school. Students, who are eligible to attend, must attend at their home school. For more information, please contact your student’s school counselor. 
 2015 High School Summer Credit Recovery Program 

The 2015 High School Summer Credit Recovery Program will offer multiple verified credit opportunities for high school students to remediate deficiencies and expand academic skills. Instruction in core content areas at each grade level and subject area will reflect the LCPS curriculum and Virginia Standards of Learning.

Credit  Recovery Sessions (14 days) may be taken by students who have just failed a class and/or who have failed the SOL assessment.  Students must attend the full 14 day session in order to meet the requirements for instructional hours as determined by the Virginia Department of Education.  Refunds will not be given for students not meeting the attendance requirements.
