-       Loudoun Youth Inc., and Loudoun County Parks and Recreation are hosting the Loudoun Youth Fest on Saturday – June 15th, 3:00-8:30 pm, at Brambleton Town Center.  Tickets are $7.50 online at LoudounYouthFest.com, and $10 at the gate.

-       8th grade artists need to pick up their art projects.  All 2D and 3D work are located outside Mrs. Vail’s art room.  Please look for a sign that has your class block on it.

-       Congrats to Mr. McGrady’s classes for winning the soda tab collection.  Each class will receive freeze pops during their blocks today.

-       6th graders (Sharan and Megan) are having a bake sale this Friday – June 7th, at the Leesburg Giant, from 11:00 am-4:00 pm.  The goal of their fundraiser is to help disabled students at Simpson.  Flyers and posters were distributed yesterday with more information.

-       Last night, the Social Sciences Dept. held their awards ceremony at Heritage H.S.  Students from each middle and high school were selected by their teachers for “Student of the Year”.  Simpson’s nominees were:  6th grader – Nicole Kemon, 7th grader – Brianna Crump, and 8th grader – Brigette Lieu.  Nicole and Brigette were awarded Kindles, as they were runner- up winners.  Congrats to all 3 girls for representing Simpson!
