Gifted Education Programs and Services

All children may demonstrate gifted behaviors in different levels and ways.  It is a matter of the complexity, frequency, and intensity of the demonstrated behaviors that determine whether students require the differentiated instruction of Gifted Education.

Identification for Gifted Education Programs
If your 4th or 5th grade child has never been referred for gifted services or if it has been more than a year since your child was referred for gifted services, you might be interested in the following information:
 
In order for your child to be evaluated for gifted services during the spring of 2013, you must give your child's SEARCH teacher the following signed referral form no later than 3:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013.
PARENT/GUARDIAN REFERRAL FORM Referrals received after 3:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013, will be processed during the fall semester, 2013.
      ·         Students in grades 3 and 4 currently attending LCPS
