Hello Sterling Elementary!

Welcome to 4th Grade!

Dear Fourth Graders and Parents,

My name is Erin Lucchino, and I will be your fourth grade teacher.  I’m so excited to have you in our class!  This will be my third year teaching fourth grade at Sterling Elementary School, and I am thrilled that we will be working together throughout the school year.  Get yourselves ready for an awesome year!

I truly hope you have enjoyed your summer because very soon school will be back in session!  This summer was a very fun and relaxing one for me.  I went to the beach, hung out at the pool, spent time with my friends, visited Pennsylvania and West Virginia, played with my dog, and read a lot of chapter books! I also celebrated my sons 1^st birthday, which was so much fun.

I have high expectations for this school year and look forward to working closely with you and your child, in order to provide the best quality education.  Throughout the school year, you will be my best resource, as you know your child like no one else does.  If ever you have any questions, feel free to call me at the school (571- 434-4580) or send me an email ( erin. lucchino@lcps.org ).  You will also be hearing from me throughout the year via notes, phone calls, emails, yellow folders and class newsletters.

I am looking forward to spending the school year with you and your child. I hope that all parents will be able to make it to our Back to School/ Open House event on Friday, August 24th from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.  At this time, I will go over many classroom policies, homework routines, the classroom behavior plan, and ways to help your child at home. If you can make it to the Back to School event, I would greatly appreciate if you could bring your school supplies with you!  This will help me get more organized for everyone’s arrival on the first day of school!
