Author/Illustrator Michael Dooling: Mr. Dooling will come to visit the Pinebrook students on April 11, 2011. The programs will be held in the gymnasium and the schedule is as follows: 9:00 – 9:45 Kindergarten – grade 2 and 10:00-10:45 grades 3 -5. Mr. Dooling comes dressed in colonial costume and takes the students through the whole process of illustrating a picture book. Parents are welcome to attend this assembly.

Spring Scholastic Book Fair: The spring book fair will be held the week of April 11 – 15, 2011. The book fair hours are as follows:

Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Closed for lunch 11:30 -12:00)

Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The book fair will close at NOON on Friday

Book Fair Family Night is Tuesday 12, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Accelerated Reader Carnival: The school year is going by so quickly, please be aware that the last day for students to earn points to attend the AR Carnival is Friday, June 10, 2011. The points needed to attend the carnival are: second grade= 60 points; third grade = 75; fourth grade = 85 and fifth grade = 95. The AR Carnival will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. We will need many parent volunteers for this event so please mark your calendar if you would like to help us
