Hauss, Leslie ~ Third Grade / Professional Bio

Hey Legacy Labs! My name is Leslie Hauss. This will be my seventh year teaching Third Grade at Legacy. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY where I attended Brooklyn College and received both my bachelors and masters degrees in elementary education. I have taught 4th grade and 6th grade in New York City. I have been employed by Loudoun County for the past eleven years teaching various grades. The last six years in third grade which are my favorite!

I live in Ashburn with my husband and our 18 year old daughter, Alexandra. This fall Alexandra started her freshman year at Virginia Tech, Go Hokies! I am looking forward to visiting her on campus and attending football games at Tech. Some of the things we love to do as a family are take long drives and see the beautiful sites Virginia has to offer. We also love to travel and of course I love to go shopping!

I am very excited to be teaching at Legacy Elementary, Home of the Labs. The theme for this year is "Fit and Focused in Learning." It is going to be an amazing year! The Third Grade Team is already planning for many exciting events for the new school year. So get ready for lots of fun and learning in third grade!
