The primary responsibilities of the Reading Specialist is to coordinate the school’s reading program and  provide small group intervention to students reading below grade level.  Reading Specialists also collaborate with classroom teachers, coordinate assessment materials and serve as a resource to parents.   Reading Specialists set high expectations for all students to reach individual goals which maximize their potential.  The goal is to foster a lifelong love of reading.
