Our computer lab was up and running on the very first day of school.  The first subject covered was Internet safety.  The topics ranged from computer viruses to spam to not opening anything from anyone you don't know, to never, ever giving out personal information about yourself to anyone.  Never agreeing to meet any one you meet on the internet whether it be through on line gaming, chat rooms, social networking sites, or instant messaging was a major topic. 

We have moved next to learning a new updated program, Pixie 2, which enables us to make short movies.  All grade levels are making slides to illustrate our PBS (Positive Behavior System) rules.  What does it mean to be responsible, respectful, and ready to learn on the in kindergarten, first grade, etc?  When all is said and done we will have a short video which includes slides from every grade level.  We hope to show it on the news show and then possibly an assembly next year.

In the lab we look forward to supporting all of our teachers as they continue to integrate core subject material with the technology available to us here in Loudoun County for the continuing school year.
