World Book Online has many language resources aside from these new dedicated language sites. The World Book Web offers substantial language and cultural resources that can be integrated into the language and social studies curriculum. Below is a list of the resources and the sites where they can be found.
World Book KidsAt the end of each article in Kids there is a blue box that offers the user the option of having the article translated in Spanish. The articles link to Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos.
World Book StudentThe “Explore the World” feature on the Home Page contains a wealth of socio-economic information on every country. The “Resource Guides” feature “live” newspapers from every country.
World Book Advanced
“World Newspapers" feature on the Home Page of Advanced features direct links to newspapers around the world.
The e-Book Center on the Home Page has hundreds of complete e-Books in the following languages: Dutch , English , Flemish , French , German , Italian ,
Latin , Portuguese and Spanish.
There are more than 5,000 e-Books in World Book Advanced!
World Book Discover
Discover is a multicultural resource database that also contains a “Visual Dictionary” that allows users to visually toggle from English to Spanish or French.
