Meet Your Teachers
Ms. Julia Brittain
Ms. Brittain is a graduate of James Madison University. She received her undergraduate degree in 2012 and her Master of Arts in Teaching degree in 2013. Ms. Brittain interned in several elementary schools around the Harrisonburg area and completed her student teaching in Roanoke, VA. Baking, reading, horseback riding, lounging at the beach, and spending time with friends and family are how she enjoys spending her free time.
graduated from SUNY Geneseo and completed graduate work at San Diego State University. She has been teaching in Loudoun County since 2005 and is looking forward to another great year at FHR!
Mrs. Jennifer Liebman
Mrs. Liebman was born and raised in New York. Having recently moved to Virginia, she is very excited to be teaching at Frances Hazel Reid. She graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Psychology and then received her Masters in Education. Mrs. Liebman has taught for 5 years in New York. She enjoys traveling, baking, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Liebman is looking forward to a wonderful school year!
has been teaching in Loudoun County since 2005. She previously taught in Fairfax County for 15 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from George Mason University. Mrs. Miller has 3 boys and lives in Hamilton, Va. Her interests are running, and watching her boys play sports!
was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned a teaching degree and a Spanish degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught English to elementary students in Mexico, then moved to Virginia. She first taught in Stafford County, Virginia. Then she moved to Loudoun County. This is her 13th year teaching. She is excited to teach second grade again this year!
Ms. Perkins is a Texas native who relocated to Virginia the summer of 2013. She was born in Dallas, TX, and raised in the small suburban city of Mesquite, TX, where she graduated high school. Ms. Perkins attended the University of North Texas and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in early childhood education. Ms. Perkins taught in Richardson, TX, for four years and in Carrollton, TX for two years. She has had the pleasure of teaching 2nd grade for five years and 4th grade for one year. In her free time, Ms. Perkins the performing arts, exploring, learning, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Perkins is passionate about educating and enriching the lives of young children and is very excited about starting her 7th year of teaching at Frances Hazel Reid Elementary School!
