Mr. Heironimus is very excited to serve Catoctin Elementary staff as assistant principal. The 2011-2012 school year marks his 10th year working in Loudoun County Public Schools. Prior to joining the team at Catoctin, Mr. Heironimus served as assistant principal at Potowmack Elementary, administrative intern at Legacy Elementary, and taught 4th and 5th grade at both Legacy Elementary and Hutchison Farm Elementary. One of the most exciting things about being at Catoctin is that Mr. Heironimus was a student here many years ago! While many things have changed - this school certainly remains a special place and Mr. Heironimus is very happy to be a part of the Catoctin community again.

Mr. Heironimus graduated from The College of William and Mary with degrees in elementary education and government. In 2005 he received a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, integrating technology in schools from George Mason University. In 2008, Mr. Heironimus completed additional course work at George Mason University in supervision and administration.

Mr. Heironimus lives in Purcellville with his wife, who teaches french at Harper Park, and his three sons. When not in school - his family enjoys rooting for the Yankees, Capitals and Redskins, or just chasing the kids around and spending time with family.
