Class of 2020

Welcome to J.L. Simpson Middle School!  We are excited to have you join us as we begin our journey through middle school.

The theme for our year is “20/20 Vision: Planning for Your Success” (Get it?  You are the Class of 2020!)  There will be many opportunities to learn and grow to achieve success.  We challenge you to have high expectations.  We expect that you set goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them. 

Reaching for your goals will sometimes be scary and frustrating.  It takes a very long time to master things that you are not yet good at.  In fact, scientists have proven that you must work really, really hard… and even make a lot of mistakes… to learn and get smarter.  Easy is boring!  Effort is what makes you smarter.
