APRIL'S ATLAS MEETING          
April's ATLAS meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:30 in the Media Center.  The focus will be College Choices, with a college expo presented by our seniors in student government. The featured presentation during the ATLAS meeting will focus on the needs of the college bound athlete, with our guest speaker, Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at George Mason University.
 
 
ATLAS BOARD OF DIRECTORS POSITIONS FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR          
ATLAS elections will be held as a part of the April 23rd membership meeting. If you are interested in running for a 
2014-2015 ATLAS Board of Directors position,  please contact ATLAS President, Tracy Kamis at tracykamis@gmail.com.  

Our most urgent need at this point is ATLAS Treasurer.  Experience in accounting or bookkeeping would be most beneficial in filling this role. Again, feel free to contact Tracy Kamis for more details.  Additionally, more information on ATLAS can be found in the sidebar to the left.

 
 
PROJECT GRADUATION          
Project Graduation is a fun, substance-free, all-night celebration for our graduating seniors. 3 ways you can help:
 
1 - Volunteers, both now and down the road, are needed!  Please contact a co-chair and/or stay up to date on volunteer opportunities at ATLAS's webpage and in the Newsletter.
2 - Gift cards from local teen-favorite merchants to use as prizes during the night.  Send into DHS's office, care of "Project Gradation." 
3 - Monetary donations to help with funding.  Use the donate button below or send into DHS's office, care of "Project Graduation."  If using the "Donate" button below, indicate "Project Graduation" in the "Add special instructions to the seller" box.

 9TH ANNUAL DOMINION GOLF TOURNAMENT            
This year's tournament will take place at the beautiful and historic Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, VA on Monday, May 19, 2014. Last year's tournament was the most successful in our history, and this year's tournament promises to be better than ever. All proceeds go to Dominion High School and benefit each and every Titan. We are in need of silent auction and raffle prize donations. These can be company or family donations. Gift cards, products, tickets to shows/games, certificates for free services, autographed items, or monetary donations. We will include the names of all donors in our event day program and signage.  Contact Anna Dulik at dulik@us.ibm.com with contributions or questions.
 
 
 
STAFF GRANTS AWARDED BY ATLAS            
​This year, ATLAS is proud to offer a quarterly Staff Grant program.  Staff members interested in obtaining money to fund projects/equipment that add educational value to their classroom can apply for grants of up to $400.  Two Staff Grants were awarded to faculty members:  
The English Department will be obtaining a document camera with priority use given to teachers of Advanced Placement English and English 11.  
Ms. Lowenbach & Mrs. Kim, Media Specialists, will be able to continue providing materials to the Media Center's Creation Corner, which is available for use by all students for projects and creative learning.

Don't forget to designate Dominion High School for your Harris Teeter VIC Card (code 6110), Target REDcard and Giant Loyalty Card.  Click on the links to register. These merchants participate in a school rewards programs and a percentage of your purchases will be donated to DHS.
