Mrs. Georgia Smith has been active in Titan Territory since before the school opened as a member of the Dream Team. She met Dr. Brewer and Mr. Fleming while serving as the 8th grade resource teacher at Seneca Ridge Middle School in 2002-2003. Mrs. Smith began working at Dominion in October of 2009 as the Career Center Specialist and assumed the additional duties of Activities Coordinator for the 2010-11 school year. For the 2012-13 school year, Mrs. Smith will also be the CAMPUS Facilitator at DHS, working closely with Ms. Smith who is the CAMPUS Counselor. CAMPUS is an academic and college preparation program designed to meet the specific needs of students from historically under-represented populations in higher education and prospective first generation college students attending Loudoun County Public Schools.
Prior to coming to DHS, Mrs. Smith was the vice president for Federation Services at the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) the trade association for the news media industry where she worked since 1991 (minus the year spent at Seneca.) There she was responsible for all of the professional development for individuals working on the business side of the news media industry. Before joining NAA, Mrs. Smith was a vice president at Loudoun Hospital Center (now INOVA Loudoun) overseeing planning, marketing, community relations and fund raising.
Mrs. Smith holds a degree in Health Planning and Administration, graduating cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University. Her youngest daughter, Rebecca is a 2009 alumni of Dominion High and attends the University of Virginia.
