Being involved is critical to our mission. Our Fine Arts students are skilled, talented and committed to their craft and we need to support them in their endeavors. Here’s how you can help:
Third Annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser – February 16, 2013 Need committee members to start planning – This is a fun event to plan but we need a lot of volunteers to continue our success from last year. Planning starts now! There are many different and varied tasks. There’s something for everyone, from soliciting donations for the auction, putting up posters in the community, making gift baskets, and decorating the school for the event.
Patron Committee Contact: Chris Miller, thosemillers@rstarmail.com Help collect and process applications for ‘Patron of the Fine Arts’ Distribute ‘thank you’ gifts and keep register of all Patrons Work with other committee members to reach out and market the WMAA at school events.
Fundraising Committee This is our most critical need. We cannot support our programs without the financial assistance. Whether you have experience in fundraising at other schools, enjoy working with others and can spare some time to help our main fund raising events and have fun – we NEED your involvement.
General Volunteer Help During the year, smaller fundraisers are often organized to fund a specific need within a department, such as bake sales during theater and chorus productions, donut sales before school, car washes, etc.
Spirit Wear Committee Contact: Rhonda Allen, daverhon1@aol.com We will be offering Fine Arts Spirit Wear this year. Help is needed collecting the orders, inventorying existing stock, sorting deliveries of items, packing orders, and assisting in delivering orders to students. We will also be selling at school fine arts events. If you have an hour or so during the day, or an hour or so on some evenings, this is a great opportunity to help out.
