Connors, Stacy ~ Kindergarten / Biography

My name is Stacy Connors. It is such a pleasure to be in my 7th year at Legacy!!! Legacy is such a child-centered, warm environment with an amazing staff!

This is my 19th year in education. Last year I returned to the classroom after being Legacy's Assistant Principal for 5 years. It was such a joy to return to the classroom and teach Kindergarten where I truly get to experience learning come alive! I have been a classroom teacher in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade, as well as a Technology Specialist. I also taught at George Mason University for 3 years.

I earned my BA in Elementary Education from Clemson University, a MA in Instructional Technology from George Mason University, and my PhD in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technology and Leadership.

I have three children, Sara, Kieran, and Chloe. Sara is in 11th grade at Briar Woods High School. Sara has a passion for gymnastics. When I am not at school, you can generally find me attending her many meets. Kieran is in 8th grade at Eagle Ridge Middle School and enjoys life. Along with discovering new things about our world, you can often find him playing on the football and LAX fields and with his video games. Chloe is the newest member of our family. She was born in June 2010 and is enjoying her new found freedom as she toddles around the house. She loves being spoiled by her brother and sister!
