When is the library open?
 
Library hours are 7:30 - 2:50 Monday - Friday 
 
How often does my child come to the library?
 
Every class is scheduled for a library period each week. Kindergarten comes for 30 minutes.  Pre-school comes for 15 minutes for a story only.  All other grades are allotted 45 minutes - approximately 30 minutes for instruction and 15 minutes for checkout. With the teacher's permission, students may come to the library at other times.
 
What happens during a library visit?
 
Students listen to a story or have a lesson designed to help them learn how to use library resources and extend classroom learning. Students also select and check out books.
 
How many books can be checked out at one time?
 
Students in kindergarten may check out 2 books, students in grades 1, 2, and 3 may check out 3 books, and students in grades 4-5 may check out 4 books.  A student may not exceed these limits, regardless of due dates, without special permission from the library staff.

How long may a student keep a book?
 
The checkout period for a book is two weeks.
 
Can books be renewed?
 
Yes. To renew a book simply bring it to the library to be re-scanned and you may have it for another two weeks.
 
Are there fines for overdue books?
 
No. We do not charge for overdue books, but if you have even one overdue book you may not check out any others. When all overdue books are returned, checkout privileges will be restored.
