Second Grade / Mrs. Brooks

Mrs. Tammy Brooks would like to welcome you to room #8. This is Mrs. Brooks 8th year teaching at Lovettsville Elementary, and her 17th year teaching in Loudoun County. She began her teaching career in Loudoun County teaching special education at Sterling Elementary for 2 years, and Sully Elementary for 3 years. She then taught 2nd grade at Horizon Elementary for 4 years before coming to Lovettsville to teach 1st grade. She is excited to teach 2nd grade again this year!

Mrs. Brooks is originally from a suburb east of Pittsburgh, PA (go Steelers!) and attended an undergraduate program at Slippery Rock University where she graduated with a dual degree in special education and elementary education. She later earned her master's degree in early childhood education from George Mason University.

Mrs. Brooks lives in Harpers Ferry, WV with her husband Todd, her 8 year old son Jacob, and her 6 year old daughter Emily.

Mrs. Brooks loves teaching and is very excited about looping with her class! She hopes you will enjoy your year in second grade!
