Library Policies

Circulation

Students may check out 3 books for pleasure + materials needed for assignments. They may renew their books. The back issues of the magazines, books on tape, or videos are checked out for 1 week.

Coming to the Library

Students regularly visit the library with their English/Language arts classes. They visit with other subject area teachers for research and projects.

Students may visit:

Before school--beginning at 8 AM--without a pass.
During the day with an agenda pass signed by a classroom teacher.
During lunch after she/he has eaten lunch.
At any time with a signed computer pass.

When visiting the library independently, students are to sign in upon arrival, and sign out when leaving.

Overdue Materials

There are no fines for overdue materials; however, students with overdue books or items may not check out materials.

Damaged/ lost items

Students are responsible for replacement costs.

Copies

See the Library staff. Copies are made at .10 per page.

Internet

A computer pass designating an assignment and signed by the student's teacher is required for a student to use library computers.
