Scrip
Scrip is a form of gift certificate that allows the band program to generate revenue without purchasing any special items or engage in door to door sales. These gift certificates are for specific stores in our area. The band is able to work with various retailers to purchase the gift certificates at a discount off the face value.  For example, this allows the band to sell you a $50 gift certificate to Giant for $50, but only pay $47 (band program earns $3). The percentage difference between the buy and sell price varies from 1% all the way up to 25%, depending on the retailer. You (parent, student, friend, etc.) simply fill out the ORDER FORM and send it to Mr. Herrmann with a check (to HHSMBA) or cash by the order date (several during the year). The order will be processed and you should receive your gift cards between 7-10 days later.

To put this into perspective, if we can get just 40 families (more is better) to do their grocery shopping, gas, clothing, home improvement, and video/movie shopping through this scrip fundraiser, the band can earn around $14,000 per calendar year!!!! The more families that participate, the more revenue is generated. This would help the students get all of things needed in the classroom without continuously asking for donations, or to buy tickets, chocolate, cheese or whatever.

Bleacher Seats

The marching band will be selling cushioned seats for the stadium bleachers next fall.  We are looking for parents that can help to sell them at football games.  If you are interested, please contact Mr. Herrmann.

Greenery Sale

The music department will begin selling greenery on or about Sept. 28 and are due on Oct. 24.  The forms and information are here, and prices are being set.  As in the past, the bulk of the proceeds from this fundraiser go into accounts for the students to be able to offset the costs of being part of the Heritage Music Program (trip fees, uniform fees, marching band fees, etc.).
