Shanholtzer, Joyce - Counselor / Welcome!

Welcome to Pinebrook Elementary! My name is Joyce Shanholtzer and I am one of the School Counselor's here at Pinebrook. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from James Madison University. I loved JMU and the Shenandoah Valley so much that I stayed for two more years and graduated with a Master's of Education degree in Counseling. I later attended George Mason University and I am certified to serve as a K-12 school counselor in Virginia.

Previously, I worked for Fairfax County Public Schools and taught preschool in Loudoun County for over 10 years. In addition to being at Pinebrook since it opened, I have been a School Counselor at Arcola and Leesburg elementary schools.
