I am very excited about beginning my second year at Legacy Elementary. The Legacy staff is the best I have been associated with in my 27 years in education. I have been impressed with the teamwork mentality and the collaborative efforts utilized to ensure each student meets with success. I have taught in five different counties in Virginia, and have enjoyed years teaching in New York and Florida. I have taught preschool, third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and served as an assistant principal for 18 years in elementary and middle schools. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Radford University in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree from the University of Florida in Educational Leadership. I am married, have two adult children (ages 21 & 23), and twins born in 2010. I treasure the time I get to spend with my family. We very much enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping and kayaking, as well as indoor activities such as reading and cooking.
