Wigfield, Jennifer - Learning Specialist / Welcome

Hello Students and Parents!

My name is Jennifer Wigfield and this is my 4th year teaching ELL (English for Language Learners) here at Tolbert Elementary School. I hold a MA in elementary education and an endorsement to teach ELL. Before I was at Tolbert, I worked as a 5^th grade teacher at Legacy Elementary School. I also have experience teaching ELL to adults and to middle school students. I am passionate about learning and teaching language. Whenever I get the chance, I try to work on improving my Spanish and Portuguese. I look forward to working with both students and parents this school year!

Mi nombre es Jennifer Wigfield y este es mi cuarto año en la Escuela Tolbert. Yo trabajo con estudiantes que están en el programa de enseñanza de Inglés ( ELL). Tengo una Maestría en Educación Primaria y una certificación para enseñar ELL. Antes de trabajar en Tolbert, yo enseñaba en la Escuela " Legacy" ubicada en Ashburn. También tengo experiencia enseñando ELL para adolescentes y adultos. El Lenguaje y la Pedagogía del Lenguaje son mi pasión. Yo hablo portugués y español, cuanto tengo tiempo libre me gusta practicarlos y estudiar más la gramática de estas dos lenguas. Estoy muy contenta de trabajar con los alumnos y a su vez con los padres de familia.
