Ms. Jorns is  excited to start another wonderful year here at River Bend Middle School. This will be her 6th year! She has a Bachelor of Science degree in English and a minor in Psychology from Radford University. Ms. Jorns is working on her Master's through GMU.
 
 
what to bring
Materials to Bring
  • 3- ring binder- at least 2 inches
  • Pens- black/ blue and a few red (please, no pens that click)
  • Pencils
  • Colored pencils
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • Notebook Paper/ Loose-Leaf
  • Dividers marked as follows:
    • Homework
    • Grammar
    • Vocabulary/ Spelling
    • Reading
    • Writing
  • Journal/ Composition notebook or spiral notebook
  • Glue stick
  • Personal book to read

Classroom Donations (Optional)

  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Hand Sanitizer... the flu won't get us down! :)
  • Tissues
  • Colored Pencils or markers
  • Erasers
  • Pencils
Classroom Rules
* Gum is allowed unless I see it, hear it, or find it!
* No backpacks (small purses and small drawstring bags are fine)
* No food - water is fine, but please use reusable bottles to limit trash
* Respect each person
*Come with all supplies and a smile :)

Bring in your artwork, poetry, short stories or anything else you are proud of and we will showcase it on the board!
