Klinge, M / Welcome

Welcome and Bienvenidos! My name is Molly Klinge. This year, 2011 - 2012, I am teaching Spanish I and Spanish II at Simpson. My undergraduate degree is from Smith College in Massachusetts; I have done graduate work at UVM and St. Michael's College in Vermont, in Colorado at UCBoulder, and in Virginia at UVA and Tech.

Spanish I and II at the middle school are the same courses as those taught at the high school. Students who are successful (receive a grade of "C" or better) can go on to the second and third level of language study in eighth grade or their freshman year in high school. This is a tremendous advantage for them, and my goal is to try to ensure that everyone is successful. I try to make the experience challenging and fun, but sometimes it is frustrating and just plain hard work.
