Go to the Public Library to sign up for the Summer Reading Program! | While at the Public Library, check out a new picture book and read if before bed at night. | Read a book online. through our school website. | Read a book or eBook of your choice on your reading level and tell a parent what it was about. | Find your favorite author’s webpage a nd read more about them. |
Week of June 18th- Just settling in to the lazy days of summer
Work on completing some of your Summer Reading for the Public Library Program | Read a nonfiction book this week to learn more about a topic that interests you! | Read a recipe (online or in a cookbook). For even more fun try to make it (with adult help)! | Read a book or eBook of your choice on your reading level and if it was good recommend it to a friend | What does the word ‘speculate’ mean. Look it up in the dictionary. |
Week of June 25th - Fun in the Sun!
Work on completing | Read a mystery book this week. Week of July 9th – Turning up the heat!

What historical time period is it set in? | If you could invite your favorite book character out to dinner, where would you go? Write about the experience. Week of August 13th – 2 More Weeks of Summer Vacation!
Make up your own recipe for trail mix. Write it down starting with ingredients and ending with directions for making it.
