Mrs. Jacobs has been an educator in Loudoun County for 17 years. She completed her student teaching abroad at Mill Rythe First School in England.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Penn State University and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech.  She earned her Reading Recovery Certification from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  Mrs. Jacobs is a member of the International Reading Association, the Virginia State Reading Association, and the Greater Washington Reading Council.  She currently serves as the Reading Specialist at J. Michael Lunsford Middle School.
