Hello, my name is Deanna Hunt and I am thrilled to be teaching first grade this year at Pinebrook! This will be my second year teaching in Loudoun County. I had the privilege of teaching early childhood special education at Pinebrook last year, and I am so excited to be returning to this wonderful school again! I attended Florida State University where I received my associate’s degree in liberal arts. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Montana State University-Northern, and I am currently working on my master’s degree in special education at George Mason University.
I am originally from Florida, and my family and I have had the opportunity to live in many different places including California, Montana, Florida, Colorado and Virginia. We have lived in Northern Virginia for 4 years now, and this is truly a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I have an amazing husband and two terrific daughters….ages 9 and 11. We also have 4 pets, including a dog, a bird, and two guinea pigs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to travel (especially to warm places where there is a beach), read, and watch Florida State play football…go ‘Noles!!
